Planning approval

In December 2010 the elected councillors of the Town of Victoria Park approved our proposal. Copies of the approved plans are below.

• Unit 1/1A - The Apartments
• Unit 2 - Strawbale Townhouse
• Unit 3 - Reverse brick veneer Townhouse

A separate plan deals with the landscaping of the development, which includes the drainsite.

The first sketches

It all started when we purchased the block in January 2010. A number of ideas, thoughts and sketches were thrown around, however in saying that and looking back at it now, the basic lay-out of the first design has not changed much at all, but we fiddled a lot around the edges to get the detail right.

Sketch up We have been playing with Google Sketchup... Unit 2 has being drawn up using this software. The process has helped to understand how it will be built, but also provided ideas on important things such as kitchen and bathroom design :-).
